Description
A blend of malt and grain produced in Coffey stills at Miyagikyo distillery. Named for Date Masamune, a feudal warlord with one eye who first ruled the area around Sendai during the early 17th century.
Tasting Note:
Nose: Apricots, cantaloupe, coconut, tea, toffee, bran, oats.
Palate: Big spices both savory and sweet, chunky malt, tea, toffee, peanuts, coconut, cereals with some classic Nikka bubblegum.
Finish: Malt, savory spices and cereals.
